Sometimes you may want to use Sharepoint in place of the IAG application launch portal, and display application launch links like IAG usually does - but embedded into the Sharepoint portal.
EditRequirements
Sharepoint must be up and running, and IAG must be set up to use Sharepoint as the start page.
EditOptional: enable "embedded mode" for the portal
Depending on whether you wish to use the portal toolbar and timeout features or not, you may want to turn on "embedded mode" for the portal:
- use the correct CustomUpdate name syntax to create a
PortalHomePage\inc\customDefault.inc. If it does not exist yet, copy it over from the PortalHomePage\samples directory - enable "embedded" mode for the IAG portal in question in the
customDefault.inc

EditOptional - may not be required: update ISA ruleset
Note: in most configurations, this will not be required.
- enable access from the Sharepoint server to the IAG portal in ISA server, i.e. create an access rule from

EditMake the "new" portal accessible
- in IAG configuration, make sure to add the internal IAG IP address (that you will use later to craft the URL for Sharepoint integration) to the
web servers tab of the Whale Portal application - activate the IAG configuration
- in Sharepoint, add a
Web Page Viewer web part - set the URL for the web page viewer web part to
http://your IAG internal IP address:6001/Secureput your portal trunk name herePortalHomePage/MainFrame.asp, i.e. if your internal IP address is 10.1.1.5 and your trunk name is wikiwiki, then the URL would be http://10.1.1.5:6001/SecurewikiwikiPortalHomePage/MainFrame.asp.
EditCaveats
- The default Whale logo may not appear in the embedded page since it resides in the
InternalSite application - you will want to use your own anyway, and put it it into PortalHomePage.
